These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the ClickTools website at clicktools.app, its subdomains, and all related tools and content (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. The Service

ClickTools provides free, browser-based utilities that operate entirely client-side, together with educational articles about the underlying technologies. The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without accounts, subscriptions or fees.

2. Acceptable use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You must not:

  • attempt to disrupt, overload or interfere with the operation of the Service or its hosting infrastructure;
  • scrape or redistribute the Service's content in bulk without permission;
  • misrepresent the origin of the Service or its content;
  • use the Service to violate any applicable law or the rights of others.

Because the tools run in your browser, you are solely responsible for the inputs you process and the outputs you produce with them.

3. Intellectual property

The ClickTools name, design and editorial content are the property of ClickTools and are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. Our tool source code is released under permissive open-source licences (MIT) via our public repositories — the licence text in each repository governs code usage. You may quote or link to our articles with attribution; systematic reproduction requires written consent.

4. Your content

Files, text and other material you process with ClickTools tools remain yours and, by design, remain on your device. We receive no licence to your content because we never receive the content itself.

5. No professional advice

Educational articles on this site are provided for general information. They do not constitute legal, financial, security or engineering advice for your specific situation, and no client relationship is created by their use. Verify critical results — especially in legal, medical, aviation, financial or safety-critical contexts — with qualified professionals and authoritative sources.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that defects will be corrected.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ClickTools and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits or goodwill arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service — including, without limitation, data loss arising from client-side processing on your own device. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in such jurisdictions our liability is limited to the smallest amount permitted by law.

8. Third-party services and advertising

The Service may display advertising or link to third-party websites and services. Those third parties operate under their own terms and policies, and we are not responsible for their content or practices.

9. Changes to the Service and these Terms

We may modify the Service or these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. The "Last updated" date above reflects the current version.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or block access to the Service for conduct that violates these Terms or threatens the Service's availability for others.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Service's operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence remain unaffected.
